| Abstract: | The present paper, based on the speech given by the author on the Conference on the 110th Anniversary of the birth of Professor GU Jie-gang, holds that the renowned Chinese scholar has developed a particularly intimate relationship with Lanzhou University while being a faculty member during the 1930s and 1940s. |
