| Abstract: | The theory of the surnames is one of the important contents of sociology and history and their origination and evolution have deep social causes. In the paper through the comments on the materials of some ancient documents,the author has showed that the ancestor of the surname "Zhao" could not have been Shaogao but Huangdi. |
