内蒙古口岸经济地理特征

口岸是国家对外开放的门户,是可以合法进出国境、关境的地方,是国际物流、客流的必经通道,是国界和不同关税区边界上的门户。因而口岸已经成为拉动区域经济发展的增长源和各地客商的投资热点,它对形成口岸经济、带动口岸城市发展、促进对外经济贸易和国际交往意义重大。内蒙古自治区对外开放口岸发展到18个,形成了以口岸为依托的沿边开放带,成为我国向北开放的主要口岸经济带。本文首先介绍了内蒙古现有的口岸经济地理布局特征,在此基础上详细分析了各口岸所对应的口岸腹地经济资源优势,指出这些经济资源优势是形成内蒙古口岸经济带的基础,最后展望内蒙古口岸经济的发展前景。

Geographical Characteristics of Port Economy in Inner Mongolia

Port is the gateway for a nation to open to the outside world, for a legal entry or exit of national border and customs territory, for the international stopover of goods and passengers, and for the passage through the frontier and boundary of national border and customs territory. Therefore, port has become the growth source to pull the development of regional economy and the popular investment place for travelling merchants from various areas. Port is of great significance in forming the port economy, driving the urban development of port cities, promoting the foreign economy and trade, and strengthening the international communication. There have been 18 ports opening to the outside world in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, which has formed an opening zone along the frontier relying on ports and has become an economic zone of main ports opening northward to the outside world. This paper first introduces the geographical characteristics of port economy in Inner Mongolia. On that basis, it then gives a detailed analysis on the advantage of economic resources in the corresponding hinterland of various ports. It points out that the superiority in economic resources is the base to form an economic zone of port economy in Inner Mongolia. Finally, good prospects are expected for the development of port economy in Inner Mongolia.
