期刊评价是一个在不断变化的主体需求与客体属性之间动态匹配的过程。从历史进程看,由于期刊自身的发展和学术共同体不断变化的主体需求,期刊评价从初始时期注重期刊的物理属性,逐步转变为关注学术共同体对期刊的感知和认同。解释价值取向的概念工具经历了一个从信息密度—影响力—质量—学术地位的演化过程。由于概念内涵的限制,只有学术地位才能合理地解释期刊间的等级结构及与之相应的学术资源分配机制,实现学术场域与社会系统的无缝对接。期刊评价价值取向的演化符合人类活动价值原则演化的基本规律。

Road to Freedom:Analyzing Journal Assessment and Its Value Orientation

The value orientation in journal assessment is an evolution.To indicate the value orientation,four concepts are offered successively: information density,influence,quality and academic status,among which,the first three all have flaws,and fail to give very practical academic evaluation by offering a laudable explanation of the hierarchy of journals of different levels.Academic status marks the value orientation in journal assessment,as is the social expectation of the roles that journal assessment may play.
