道教研究百年的回顾与展望

中国道教研究的起步是非常艰难的,主要是长期以来,在学术界存在一种偏见,认为道教没有自己的系统理论,只不过是民间的一种迷信,在整个20世纪里正式展开研究是最后20年的事。目前,我国的道教文化研究工作已经取得了相当成绩。但仅仅是一个开始,开展道教文化研究是一项极为复杂而艰巨的系统工程,它所涉及的范围非常广泛,需要探讨的方面很多,还需要全国更多的学者来共同耕耘。

100 Years in Retrospection of Studies of Daoism and the Prospect

In China, the study of Daoism started with many difficulties and prejudices. In all prejudices, a viewpoint was representative: in comparison with Confucianism, Daoism, short of independent religious theory, was nothing but one form of popular superstition. This argument illustrated the difficult situation the study of Daoism had to face when it took its first step in 1980s in this country. Considering the background of the study of Daoism in China, we should feel satisfied with the achievements we have made since then. On the other hand, we have to know that the study of Daoism is a huge and complex project. Up to now, our study is still confined to very small fields. It asks for more cooperation and participation from scholars in this country. Otherwise, our achievements will be very limited and meaningless in the broader context.
