新旧之间：近代山西的商会与行会

山西商会是近代以来在政府倡导下而产生的新兴工商社团组织,它从成立之初就积极参与到了地方社会的经济、政治和文化生活之中,发挥了积极的作用。然而在山西特殊的社会历史环境中,商会的出现并没有作为新生力量取代具有相当历史的传统行会,山西的行会在近代继续向前发展,势力仍很强大。山西的商会与行会之间既有着创立形式、组织结构和社会功能等方面的明显差别,又有着较沿海大埠更为紧密的依赖和渗透关系。

Chamber of Commerce and Guild in Modern Shanxi

The chamber of commerce in Shanxi was a new commercial organization established under the advocate of government in modern China.It played an important role in Shanxi's economy,politics and social living.As a new force,the emergence of the chamber of commerce didn't replace the role of the traditional guild,which had rather long history in Shanxi's special historical environment,however.The guild in Shanxi kept developing continuously forward during the period of modern Shanxi,and its strength was quite strong.There were distinct differences in form,system and function between the chamber of commerce and the guild in modern Shanxi,at the same time, they depended and infiltrated more than those in littoral.
