The Absence of Culture and Concept Reengineering in the Process of Urbanization

Superficiality, vulgarization, utilitarianism, myopia, anxiety and uncertainty are the main characterization of urban culture. GDP-oriented growth has caused unbalance in social psychology and disorder in urban culture; lack of belief and trust relationship directly leads to the fragmentation of urban culture; fracture in social class gives birth to virtualized urban culture. It is necessary to renew and reconstruct the concept in the process of urbanization. Scientific rationality and the humanistic spirit should complement each other so that the world civilization and the national characteristics become harmonious and comprehensive.
