西汉中后期的儒宗宰相

西汉中后期出现了一批"儒宗宰相",他们是当代鸿儒,享有很高的声誉,就文化素质而言,堪称杰出人才。但是他们所逢之时,相权已经受到严重削弱,在皇权加强的政治体制下,他们难有大的作为。作为"识时务"的儒者,他们中的多数以"持禄保位"为基本的人生宗旨,缺乏责任感,在政治上不敢建树。这也为西汉后期的朝政蒙上了阴影。

A group of Confucian prime ministers appeared in the middle and later period of the Western Han Dynasty. They were contemporary Confucian scholars with very high reputation, and can be worthy of the name of outstanding talents. But under the political system that imperial power strengthened and the right of prime ministers weakened seriously, it was difficult for them to be able to develop their ability to the full. Most of them regarded "getting the emolument and protecting the location" as their basic aim, lacked sense of duty and dared not make political achievement. This seriously affected the affairs of state of the middle and later period of the Western Han Dynasty.
