本文结合建设创造一流高水平大学的实际 ,论述了江泽民同志“三个代表”思想对高校改革与发展的重要的指导意义。本文认为 ,在创建一流高水平大学的过程中 ,学习和实践“三个代表”的思想 ,就是要以更新观念为前提 ,进一步解放思想 ,夯实建设一流高水平大学的思想基础 ;坚持正确的办学指导思想 ,理清学校改革发展的思路 ,明确学校的整体定位和事业发展目标 ,在战略规划上求突破 ;瞄准一流高水平大学目标 ,抓住重点 ,练好内功 ,切实解决学校发展建设中的深层次问题 ;积极创新 ,利用机遇 ,发挥自身的办学优势和特色 ,加快一流高水平大学建设步伐。

Earnestly Studying and Imlementing the "Three Representations", Urgently Laying a Solid Foundation of a First-rate University

The present paper expounds the directive significance of President Jiang Zemin's points of “Three Representations”. It is believed that the implementation of the guiding points requires the embodiment both of being workable in overall situation in the leading goernmental policies and programs and of being solid in the overall requirements and objects set up by each unit at the lower levels. Some points for the implementation of the “Three Representations”are put forward in the paper as follows: 1)sticking to the guiding policies of running universities; 2)making sure which is the proper way to the reform and development, and what are the orientation and targets for the overall development in the future; 3)making great efforts to reach the settled target and standard of a first-rate university.
