| 摘 要： | 运用诺斯罗普·弗莱的神话演变理论对亨利·詹姆斯的中期作品《悲惨的缪斯》进行了探讨，发现其故事情节的发展与单一神话的演变过程相吻合，《悲惨的缪斯》中神话与唯美主义的完美结合体现了詹姆斯对唯美主义的探索，这是詹姆斯在文学创作上的又一贡献。

| Abstract: | This paper explores the textual structure of Henry James's The Tragic Muse by employing Northrop Frye's theory of methology evolution.We find that the development of the plot conincides with the process of monomyth evolution.The perfect combination of methology and aestheticism is James's new step on the exploration of astheticism,which is also his new contribution to the literary creation. |
