译者在传记文学翻译中的角色

传记文学研究是当代文学研究的显学之一，而要实现对于外国传记文学的研究或中外传记文学比较研究，翻译这一介质通常是必不可少的，因此对中外传记文学的相互译介是传记文学研究过程中不可或缺的。由于传记文学具有历史性和文学性特征决定了译者在翻译时既要关注译作的历史性，又要重视传记文学的文学性。在译者陈述原作历史和文学艺术过程中，还会由于自己的文学艺术修养、审美价值和所处的特定环境等对原文本进行“创造性”加工，所以译者在翻译传记时就要充分考虑到自己的角色，讲究译作的“纪实性”、“艺术性”和“创造性”。文章将围绕这三个方面对传记文学翻译过程中，译者采取什么样的翻译原则、翻译策略以及译者的责任等方面展开论述，明确译者在传记文学翻译中的角色及作用。

On the Role of Translator in Biography Translation

The study of biography is one of the distinguished disciplines among contemporary literature study. To achieve foreign biography study or comparative study between Chinese and foreign biography, translation is an indispensable medium. Therefore, translation between Chinese and foreign biography is essential to the study of biography. Now that biography is the combination of history and literature, it requires that a translator should not only pay attention to historicity but literariness. Moreover, when the translator demonstrates the history and literary style of the original, s/he also has ＂creative＂ processing on the original text due to his/her own literary competence, value of taste and the environment s/he lives in. Therefore, the translator must consider his/her role in translating works, paying attention to ＂historicity＂, ＂artistry＂ and ＂creativeness＂. The paper explores the translation principles, strategies and responsibility of the translator around the above three aspects, and makes clear the role of translator in the biography translation.
