| 摘 要： | 西方文学中的中国形象是西方作家对中国历史和现实主观意义上的自我解读,兼具自我性和真实性。美国主流文学中的中国形象,无论是天堂还是地狱,无非是借此传达对本国或赞美或不满的声音,都存在一定程度的误读成分。美国华裔文学要发挥沟通中西文化的桥梁功能,既有效消弭西方主流文学对于中国形象的误读,又能从数代海外华人奋斗史中汲取有益的教训,不断锻造出一个崭新的中国形象。
