| Abstract: | Deictic words play a very important role in pragmatics. The key point of comprehending and expressing the meaning of discourse is to understand the information implications. This paper discusses the similarities and differences between the two deictic words "zhe" and "this" before drawing the conclusion that they are not equivalent. |
