践行科学发展观推进海峡西岸经济区建设

国务院2009年5月4日召开常务会议讨论并原则通过《关于支持福建省加快建设海峡西岸经济区的若干意见》,首次明确海西的战略功能定位及其特色战略规划,意味着＂海峡西岸经济区＂作为国家发展的战略目标,得到了中央的政策支持。重视运用科学发展观来进行指导和统筹海峡西岸经济区发展,可以促进海西的对外开放、协调发展、全面繁荣,为建立海峡两岸全面合作奠定基础,进而使海峡西岸经济区成为继＂长三角＂、＂珠三角＂、＂环渤海经济区＂之后的又一新的经济增长极、两岸三地经贸合作和科技文化交流的重要地区、国内外各种资源要素的重要聚集地和促进祖国统一大业的重要基地。
