Cultural Transmission in Euphemism Translation |

| Abstract: | This thesis aims to observe euphemisms and their translation from a cultural point of view. As euphemisms are, more often than not, the reflection of a certain culture, so it is advisable to take into consideration their cultural connotations in understanding and translating euphemisms. And the thesis itself is a probe into the principles regarding the translation of euphemisms, via an analysis of the relationship between euphemisms and culture, and taboos. |
