诠释学与修辞学

像逻辑学一样,修辞学在古代曾经是一门"显学"。但是,随着近代自然科学的发展,逻辑学在科学中占据显赫位置,而修辞学则渐次失去昔日的重要性。诠释学的兴起,使得修辞学恢复了真理要求辩护者的身份。修辞学不仅谈论美,而且有益于真理的探求和善的获得。修辞学因此正在经历着一场盛况空前的复兴。科学逻辑独霸学术的地位受到了威胁,修辞学在当代已从哲学的辅助性学科上升为主导性学科。

Hermeneutics and Rhetoric

Like logic, rhetoric used to be one branch of learning which attracted a lot of scholars. However, with the development of natural sciences, the role of logic in science has become more and more prominent, but, in contrast, the importance of rhetoric has declined. The advent of hermeneutics has brought new life to rhetoric. Rhetoric plays an important role not only in the seeking of truth and virtue, but in the discussion of beauty as well. Consequently, rhetoric is now undergoing an unprecedented resurge and development. Thus the dominant position of logic is now being threatened, and rhetoric is not an auxiliary to but instead the core of philosophy.
