| Abstract: | It is the essential action made by Kang Youwei and an important incident of modern history of Chinese thoughts as well that he set up Confucian Churches in a mode of western religion and tried to make Confucianism the state religion confronted with the dilemma of its modernization. By reviewing the very process we can understand the developing spaces and the meaning of Confucianism in modern China deeply. |
