| Abstract: | This article analyzes the functions of nominalization as a form of grammatical metaphor in a discourse and its relationship with people's cognition of the world. As there is a process of concept reconstruction in second language acquisition, nominalization will pose some difficulty in comprehension on the part of students. But, their ability to use nominalization is an indication of their progress in the acquisition. |
