明清桐城桂林方氏家族文化特征探析

明清时期桐城桂林方氏家族是江南著名的世家大族,以科第仕宦、研习诗文、治学习艺等著称于世,在其长期发展延续过程中积淀而成深厚的家族文化。其文化特征主要表现在:其五世方法因靖难发作毅然殉难,此忠孝节义之举为后嗣敬仰,积淀成为方氏世代传承的精神意志的象征;方氏家族文化精神的传承表现在重视教育、诗礼传家、勤学著述、编纂家族遗书等方面;方氏家训、家学、家风的传承也为家族的稳固与兴盛奠定了基础。作为个案研究,探析方氏家族的文化特征,为探究中国传统文化的内蕴提供了一个有效的切入点。

On the Cultural Characteristics of the Guilin Fang Family of Tongcheng in the Ming and Qing Dynasties

The Guilin Fang＇s Family in Tongcheng is a famous aristocratic family in the regions south of the Yangtze River in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, which is known to the world in attending imperial examinations, learning poetry and engaging in academic studies. The family accumulated deep family culture in the process of its long-term development. Its cultural characteristics are manifested in the following aspects： Five ancestors chose martyrdom resolutely because of Jingnan Rebellion, which was revered by his posterities and became a spiritual symbol of the Fang ~ s Family. The Fang ~ s family＇s cultural heritage is manifested in valuing education, studying hard and compiling family＇s books. Its family instructions, family knowledge and family traditions also laid the foundation for the Family＇s stability and prosperity. As a case study, we investigate the cultural identity of the Fang＇s family, which will provide us a good angle to explore the connotation of Chinese traditional culture.
