| Abstract: | The thesis focuses on the problems of undertranslation,superficial translation and mistranslation caused by linguistic barriers,cultural differences and translators'oversight in the English translation of Zhouyi . It's proposed that translators are expected to seek cautiously the true meaning of the original mysterious version through comparative study of Zhouyi explanation of different schools and,in the light of the theory of pragmatics,to employ different techniques of translation to make the version comprehensible for western readers. |
