袁宏道与泰州王学

Yuan Hongdao and the Taizhou School of Confucianism Originated by Wang Gen

Yuan Hongdao,as an important leader of the literary school—— Gong'an School in the late Ming Dynasty,unswervingly promoted literary reformism and achieved a great success in literary creation,which exerted a far-reaching influence and earned him a great reputation.Also,Yuan kept close contact with the then thinkers,especially the scholars of the Taizhou school of Confucianism,and he was most deeply influenced by Li Zhi.In a sense,it can be said that Yuan's literary reformism and his literary propositions advocating individuality originated and developed under the influence of the Taizhou school of Confucianism,espcecially Li Zhi.And Yuan's reformism and the grassroots Confucianism represented by Taizhou School both developed in splendor,forming a beautiful scene in the history of late-Ming Dynasty ideology and culture.
