| Abstract: | This paper analyses and expounds the major features of the English conversational language used by the native English speaker, the facilitation features, the compensation features and appropriateness features. It lays emphasis on the necessity and importance for Chinese learners of English to develop their awareness of these features and to besensitive to the way native speakers do in their conversation through observation and exploration. |
