| Abstract: | The author, while dating the book entitled Glimpses along Han Jiang River, Guangdong byZheng Changshi, discovered some research material for the speech sounds of Chaozhou Dialect abouttwo hundred years ago. into which an investigation was conducted in a matter-of-fact way for thecharacteristics, the dates and order of sound shifts (including shift of initials and shift of finals). |
