| Abstract: | The film ＂The Veil＂ is adapted and filmed based on the long novel＂The Painted Veil＂, written by Maugham, a famous British writer. In this paper, it attempts to discuss the beautification and uglification of the image of China in the film ＂The Veil＂ from a cross-cultural perspective, which reflects the different views of western people to China. |
