| 摘 要： | 对于英语语言体系内部的划分,传统的地理政治学模式并不能准确地反映英语语言体系内部实际存在的复杂状况.以南非英语和非洲英语之间的关系为例,英语语言体系中的"啄序"--强弱排列顺序现象有其深层原因.应树立维护语言共核、尊重地域特色的语言教育观. |

| Abstract: | The paper examines the Pecking Order (PO) within the English Complex by contrasting English in South Africa and African English and reveals the deficiency in the geographical model. Following the discussion on the underlying reasons for the PO, it reiterates the teaching of English with the emphasis on Common Core and awareness of different varieties. |
