新时期文学中的疯癫形象主要包含两类:疯癫男性和疯癫女性。如果说导致女性疯癫的致病病毒主要是无爱,那么导致男性疯癫的则主要是历史文化加之男性个体的超重负荷。女性的疯癫更多地来自于情感人性等内部因素的戕害,男性的疯癫则往往来自于社会历史等外部因素的戕害。
