基于语料库的汉英手部动词动名搭配对比考察

摘    要:以“抱-hold、举-rinse、拉-pull、扔-throw”这四对汉英手部动词为研究对象,在生成词库的理论框架下,对其各自的动名搭配进行基于汉英语料库的对比考察,从语义层面考察汉英动名搭配的共性和个性,并尝试揭示其认知缘由。研究发现:汉英手部动词的动名搭配之间的差异性更为明显,表现在语义搭配的方式和名词搭配词的语义类型两个方面。这些个性的表现离不开动词和名词的互动内驱力和认知偏向的互动外驱力的协同作用。

Abstract:Four Chinese hand-driven verbs are chosen to serve as a basis for the selection of the corresponding verbs in English, namely "bao (抱)-hold, ju (举)-raise, la (拉)-pull, reng (扔)-throw". Combining quantitive analysis with qualitative analysis, from semantic perspectives, the present study conducts a corpora-based and contrastive investigation into the verb-noun collocations of hand-driven verbs between Chinese and English by means of revealing the similarities and disparities. The driving forces behind them are also expatiated upon in its wake. It observes that disparities stick out more conspicuously than similarities in the perspective of semantic composition and semantic categories of nouns. Characteristics of hand-driven verbs in Chinese and English verb-noun collocations are determined by the interaction between internally-driven forces and externally-driven forces. Internally-driven forces indicate interactive driving forces exerted by the internal semantic properties of verbs and nouns. Externally-driven forces manifest cognitive orientations and thinking modes.
