Inthe process of the modernization, the politics, economy, society and culture of the ethnic groups are all being under tremendous changes. In the background of this change, there is change in the situation in regard to the ethnic identity and ethnic relationship among the Hui people in Fenghuang town of Sanya, Hainan, such as enhanced ethnic cognition with views of market economy. And development of market economy promotes the understanding and cooperating among the people. On the other hand, for positive guidance gave by governments, the ethnic relationship becomes more harmonious. And an outstanding example of the relationship is that the most of the Hui people in Fenghuang town accept marriage with other ethnic groups.
