论王世贞对唐、宋诗的态度

王世贞是明代复古诗派重要的代表人物,但他的诗学主张却与复古诗派崇唐抑宋的理论不同。他推崇盛唐,但又认为唐诗并非尽善尽美;他批评宋诗,但没有对宋诗作出全盘否定,而是清醒地看到宋诗对明代诗坛产生的积极影响。他认为各个时代的诗都有其自己的长处和不足,反对以时代定诗歌创作的优劣。

A Study on Wang Shizhen’s Attitude towards Tang and Song Poetry

Wang Shizhen was one of the major representatives of the Neo-classic School.But different from the other Neo-classic School members who had a more affirmative attitude towards Tang Poetry than Song Poetry,Wang Shizhen believed that although we should learn from the poetries of the prosperous Tang Dynasty,they were not that perfect indeed.While he did had some criticism on Song poetry,but did not make an overall negative.Wang realized that Song poetry had some positive influence on Ming poetry.Moreover,he indicated that poetry of every age has its own strengths and weaknesses,which mean the superiority of poetry,should not be determined by the era.
