| Abstract: | There are always controversial ideas on the qualitative and quantitative researches of Chinese affix.This paper attempts to examine the grammar unit and the affixes of modern Chinese,from a comparatively ob-jective standpoint based on the previous researches.This paper presents the function and nature of the affix from the old brand affix,and discusses the development of the affix.Finally,it analyzes the relationship between the trend of affixation and the principle of word formation by presenting the affixization incline of a number of morphemes. |
