试论泰戈尔短篇小说中的审美意象

On the Aesthetic Imagery Implied in Tagore's Short Stories

Every great literator in the world will create his own unique aesthetic imagery,so is Tagore.In his short stories,"the Heng He River" imagery,"the Childhood Marriage" imagery,"the Sacrificial Widow" imagery,"the Caste System" imagery and many a "monk" imagery embody the lyric "Indian character" and Indian taste.For Chinese readers such characteristics are not only fresh and new but also unforgettable.Because of his realistic writing style in his short stories and his personality as a poet,there are more "imitation image","metaphor image" and "association image",but rarely "abstract image" in his works.That the aesthetic imagery in his short stories is so fascinating mainly lies in their having the four aesthetic qualities:1.the pertect combination between the pretty drawing and the pleasant music;2.the strong lyric poetic flavour;3.gaucly religious implication and reason taste;4.too many excellent ideas to take in.
