九一八事变和七七事变是20世纪30年代中日冲突的两起标志性重大事件,文章从大众传播与国际关系的视角出发,运用构架分析方法,对事变期间《泰晤士报》的相关报道进行了全面考察,认为在这两次冲突事件中,《泰晤士报》的态度由纵容日本的侵略行径转变为对其行为的日益嫌恶,此时西方主流媒体关于抗日战争的报道语境逐渐向有利于中国的方向转换.

The Transition of the Times' Attitude to Sino - Japanese War

The ManchurianIncident and the Liukouchiao Incident were the important incidents of 1930s in Sina-Japanese conflicts.Based on the investigation of all the reports and editorials on the Times during the incidents,with the interacting perspective of mass communication and the international relations,and by using the frame analysis method,this paper demonstrates that the newspaper's attitude to the war has changed.The Times did not connive the invasion of Japan any more,and detested the Japanese conducts day and day during the Liukouchiao Incident.The context of the reports about Sino-Japanese War made by Western mainstream media gradually benefited China.
