明清小说与江苏论纲

明清两代，江苏不仅是经济大省，又是名副其实的文化大省。仅就文学艺术而言，明清两代的江苏就名家辈出，创作和理论，出版和市场，均成就卓著，在全国举足轻重，影响深远。本文从明清小说与江苏这个视角，对江苏的小说作家和小说理论批评家对明清小说的发展所作出的巨大贡献，作了简明扼要的论述，总结了历史的经验。

On the Ming and Qing fiction and Jiangsu

During the Ming and Qing dynasties Jiangsu was not only an economlcally great province but also a eulturally great province both in reality and in name. Concerning literature and art alone,Jiangsu could boast its large numbers of masters who achieved outstanding results in their creative works and critical theory. The publishing and the market in the province were equally remarkable. All these achievements occupied a pivotal position in the whole country and made their influence felt far and wide. This article follows the angle of view of Ming and Qing fiction and Jiangsu,concisely discusses the tremendous contribution made by the novelists and critics of Jiangsu to the development of Ming and Qing fiction,and sums up the historical experiencc.
