The Sound Compound Words in Northern Shaanxi Dialect |

| Abstract: | There are many sound compound words in Northern Shaanxi dialect. This contributes to the chief characteristics of its vocabulary. Based on text research,14 sound- combined words in Shaanxi dialect are collected and are classified into 4 groups.These words have the same way of combination in terms of sound,rhyme and tone. |
