The endeavour for self accomlishment by joining in the masses:A study of Mudan's poetry in the 1950s'

Mudan' s poetry in the 1950s' was the continuation of his theme of self accomlishment in which the focus was on joining in the masses. By analyzing his life and the 10 poems he composed in this period, it can be found that joining in the masses was Mudan' s ideal of life and central flow of thought of poetic composition. However, his endeavour was not so successful. The poet intending to joining in the masses had to be subject to the criticism from the masses, which constituted a thought-provoking episode of Mudan' s life and the Chinese literary history.
