| 摘 要： | 汉字作为一个文字系统,其性质是由其基本单位的性质决定的。本文借鉴"字素论",认为汉字的基本单位是字素。汉字字素可分为表意字素和表音字素两类,研究汉字的性质就是要深入研究表意字素的表意方式和表音字素的表音方式。对汉字表意方式和表音方式的认识,必须通过与世界其他文字的比较来深化。

| Abstract: | The property of Chinese writing system is interrelated to the property of its basic unit. Benefiting from the Chinese grapheme perspective,the article considers the Chinese grapheme,which is different from the grapheme in alphabetic writings,as the basic unit of the Chinese writing system.
