| Abstract: | Based on the data and information from the in\|depth survey of marriage form in Songzi county, Hubei province, this paper explores the history, actuality and future of uxorilocal marriage of Han people in rural China systematically. Using qualitative method, it analyzes causes, factors, and characteristics of uxorilocal marriage as well as its effects on family relationship and old\|age support.
