王褒《洞箫赋》与汉宣帝时期的礼乐建设

摘    要:汉昭帝时期礼乐衰微,执政的霍光“不学亡术,暗于大理”,礼制建设停滞,同时霍光致力于与民休息,而礼乐之兴为耗资不菲的不急之务,自然不为其所重。于礼乐衰微相应,汉昭帝时期诗赋创作也同步衰落。与昭帝时期不同,汉宣帝致力于兴礼乐,礼乐之盛远胜昭帝时期。汉宣帝兴礼乐主要是出于巩固政权的现实政治需要,有意识地反拨霍光所行政策,以凸显皇权存在,重建旁落二十年的皇帝权威。为推动沉寂多时的辞赋创作,宣帝划分出辞赋大小之别,肯定形式“辩丽可喜”而融入仁义风谕的赋作。在宣帝兴礼乐的历史背景下,王褒《洞箫赋》最初命名为《洞箫颂》,努力发掘洞箫礼乐之器具的内涵,与颂仪、美盛德形容的“颂”义相联系,寓仁义风谕之旨,赋作本身也是宣帝兴雅乐活动的有机组成部分。《洞箫赋》注重阐发儒家雅乐内涵,与《礼记·乐记》音乐思想相通,强调竹材之德化、制箫以合礼、瞽朦奏乐、箫音的道德属性、箫乐的教化效果,乱辞部分表达了儒家对雅乐的“德音”定性,强调“从容中道,乐不淫兮”的儒家中和之美。
