反城市文化的现代化悖论

社会主义的现代化追求 ,从一开始就面临着一个难解的悖论 :物质建设上要迅速地实现现代化 ,使国家繁荣强盛 ,而在社会主义思想文化领域 ,却反对作为现代化表征的城市文化 ,它不仅把城市与资产阶级想象为一种天然关系 ,而且致力于农村文化对城市的移植 ,努力培育城市市民乡村的文化趣味。这一矛盾、悖反的现象 ,不仅限制了城市文化的发展 ,而且也无意中造就了国民虚假的乡村崇拜的思想趋向和文化趣味

A Paradox of Anti - Urbanism Modernization

China's socialist modernization drive faces a puzzling paradox from the beginning: Modernization should be materially realized in order ot make our country powerful and prosperous on one hand and urban culture is ideologically opposed on the other hand. Therefore, urban life is naturally linked with the bourgeoisie and efforts have been made to implant rural culture in urban life so as to cultivate a kind of rural cultural taste among urban residents. This paradox not only bottlenecks the development of urban culture, but leads to an ideological trend and cultural taste towards the false rural worship from the urbanite.
