Literature-criticizing fu is not only an outstanding phenomenon in the history of fu(or ci)-writing,but an important part itself in our ancient literary theory.The appearance of literature-criticizing fu relates to the developing of the style-criticizing,but fu-criticizing fu connects much with the imperial examination system,in which fu-writing plays an important role.The gist of most literature-criticizing fu is that shi (poetry) and fu are of the same resource,and that they all should express the Confucian Tao (doctrines).But as literature and art,literature-criticizing fu,when describing literary theory,shows its relationships with the fu-style:elaborating,structure,and Zeitgeist.And the form of antithesis and rhyme also gives the readers aesthetic experience.
