| Abstract: | With the House of Mirth as the text,this paper has all-wave described historical and psychological background of Edith Wharton's creations,and dialectically sums up her tragedy awareness and her awareness's naturalistic colors embodied in novel.Through combining the heroine's experience,it ultimately demonstrates Edith's deep experience and understanding to tragic life and her inner deep insight to the world and life. |
