谈《新教伦理》与儒学

通过对《新教伦理》主旨的探讨,指出那种认为新教伦理与资本主义的生成关系的观点让人难以理解,甚至错误,但肯定了基督教的文化性。资本主义不能在中国生成,责任不能强加于儒学。儒学是中国的传统文化,我们不能因一段耻辱的历史而予以全盘否定。相反,我们要大力弘扬民族文化。

On the Protestant Ethics and Confucianism

The relation is rather baffled between the protestant ethics and the spirit of capitalism through studying the gist of The Protestant ethics and from which some conclusions drawn are even false.However,Christianity played an important role in the West culture which is quite different from that of the East.China hadn't got capitalism in late Qing dynasty and the blame imputed entirely to Confucianism is inexplicable.Confucianism is the traditional culture of China.We should not disdain it owing to a short disgraceful history.On the contrary,we should advanced confucianism greatly.
