| 摘 要： | 四字结构是汉语的精华,也是修辞的重要组成部分,其特点是言简意赅,节奏明快。本文探讨英汉翻译中四字结构的运用,如何在忠实于原文的基础上,把单词、词组、短语或习语适当地译成四字结构,使译文更为传神达意,风采倍增,使读者更容易理解原文的内涵。

| Abstract: | Four-character structures are the cream of the Chinese language,and the important rhetoric approaches.It is characterized by compendiousness and lively rhythm.This paper focuses on the appropriate use of four-character structures in English-Chinese translation.On the basis of being faithful to the original,some English words,expressions,phrases or idioms can be properly translated into four-character structures,thus making Chinese version more vivid,expressive and graceful.And readers can more easily understand the connotations of the original. |
