近代武汉的开埠开放给该地传统商业以巨大冲击，引发了近代武汉商业的全面变革。这种变革从行业结构、经营方式、商业组织直至市场结构，其波及之广、影响之巨可谓前所未有。武汉的商业形态开始从植根于封建农业经济、服务于国内市场的传统商业向依托现代工业、服务国际市场的现代商业转型。这一转型对近代武汉的经济社会发展产生了广泛而深刻的影响。但武汉的商业革命在行业结构、经营方式等方面是不彻底的。

Comment on the Modern Commercial Revolution in Wuhan

The opening of the commerce of Wuhan in the modern time has significant influence on the local traditional commerce,which has brought forth the transformation in a full-swing in the modern commerce of Wuhan.The transformation concerning the construction of the trades,management modes,and commercial organizations even to the market construction is probably unprecedented as far as its broadness and influence are concerned.The formation of the commerce of Wuhan has experienced the conversion to the modern commerce taking modern industry and the service of the international market as the support from the traditional commerce rooted in the feudal farming economy and serving the domestic market.The conversion has resulted in the broad and significant influence on the development of the economic society of the modern Wuhan.But on the whole the revolution of the commerce of Wuhan is not strong enough in the aspects as the trade construction,management modes,etc.
