| 摘 要： | 胡适是实用主义思想的忠实鼓吹者，他在小说考证中的实用主义思想表现有三：一、自觉的以小说考证为契机，意在给文人学者一把治学之门的万能钥匙；二、为“五四”新文化运动助推发力、摇旗呐喊，促进人们的思想解放和民族觉醒；三、在语言文字的“破旧立新”上以白话代文言，也是胡适实用主义思想的生动体现。
