新世纪新阶段民族理论学科发展的战略任务

党的十六届六中全会通过的《关于构建社会主义和谐社会若干重大问题的决定》,明确了到2020年构建社会主义和谐社会的目标和任务,也给新世纪新阶段民族理论学科发展提出了新的战略任务。民族理论学科应加强我国民族关系本质属性的研究、民族和谐对构建社会主义和谐社会意义的研究、民族和谐的标准要求和目标任务的研究、影响我国民族和谐的矛盾问题研究、促进民族和谐的政策措施研究、实现民族和谐动态过程的研究、当前民族问题实际的研究。这七个方面的研究,既有宏观的,也有微观的。民族理论学科的发展和创新,对具有中国特色社会主义和谐民族观的研究和形成具有重要意义。

The Strategies for the Development of Ethnic Theories in the New Century

"Decision on Some Major Issues concerning Building a Socialist Harmonious Society" by the 16th CPC Central Committee at the Six Plenary Session clarifies the goal and tasks for building a harmonious socialist society for all,which also asks for clarifying the strategies for the development of ethnic theories in the new century.The focuses include the study of the nature of the ethnic relations,the significance of ethnic harmony,the criteria and tasks for such harmony,the obstacles for obtaining such harmony,related policy studies,relevant dynamic processes and the existing problems both at the macro-and the micro-levels,which should have great significance to the study and formation of the ethnic concept on harmony with Chinese characteristics of socialism.
