| 摘 要： | 杨儒是晚清时期著名的外交家，曾经担任过近四年的驻美公使。在此期间，杨儒一方面敦促美国政府废除排华法案、切实维护华工权益，并促成了1894年《中关华工条约》的签订，希望能部分解决美国的排华问题；另一方面又为该问题的根本解决提出了自己的构想，即从根治当地华人社会存在的恶习着手，提高华人自身素质，同时考虑转移部分华工到墨西哥。杨儒解决美国排华问题的实践和构想并未取得预想的成效，这与他的认知局限有关，同时也是清廷国力贫弱、无力对美国的排华进行有效的反击使然。

| Abstract: | Yang-ru who once served as minister in the United States is a famous diplomat in the late Qing Dynasty. In the past four years as a minister, on the one hand, Yang-ru tried to solve the issue of anti-Chinese in the United States, on the other hand, he thought about and brought forward his the solution of the anti-Chinese problem. Analyzing Yang Ru＇s practice and concept in solving the anti- Chinese problem in America will help clarify his diplomatic path. |
