《史记》的小说性

《史记》是一部信史，却体现出一定的小说色彩，对此历代学者已达成了共识，它记载了大量的神话传说、梦兆预言、灾异祯祥和奇闻逸事。其实历史和文学在叙事职能上是相近的，由于司马迁采用口述历史作为史料来源，用“好奇”的审美观来择采史料，并继承了先秦史书中的文学虚构手法进行艺术创作，这都使《史记》呈现出一定的小说性，但并不削弱它的史学价值，从其小说笔法中我们同样能获得历史信息。《史记》所以杂用小说笔法，有作者塑造人物形象的良苦用心，也寄寓着司马迁发表一家之言的许多感慨。

Shi Ji's Characteristic of Novel

Through the ages the scholars have reached agreement that though ShiJi is a true history it contains some novel elements in a certain sense.It records a large number of fairy tales dream omens,fortellings of suffering and happiness.In fact history and literature are similar in the role of recounting Si Maqian adopted oral accounts as the source of historical materials and he selected the materials out of curiosity.Si Maqian used literary skills to produce works which is inherited from historical works in the pre-Qin days.All of this makes it have the characteristic of novel.But it doesn't weaken Shi Ji 's historical value.We can also obtain accurate historical information from it.The reason is the thoughts of characterization and all sorts of feelings to express Si Maqian's distinctive theory.
