| Abstract: | Luoyang is well known as a most flourishing area in the fields of painting and calligraphy during the Tang Dynasty, large batch of painters gathered here. Almost every new change in these fields happened here. This is because of: (1) its good foundation and atmosphere of culture and art; (2) its being a world famous metropolis, a nationwide center of politics, economy and culture, only inferior to Changan. |
