进入21世纪,中国即将加入WTO,经济将打破长期以来不规则的运行方式,融入经济全球化潮流,社会主义现代化建设也步入新的发展阶段。本文在总结20世纪中国社会主义现代化建设取得的伟大成绩的基础上,以全新的视角展望21世纪中国经济发展的若干特征,并提出了我国经济发展的目标、任务、必要条件和政策。

Challenges and Responsibilities in the New Stage of Our Socialist Modernization

China's accession to the WTO, a symbol of Chnia's merging into the torrent of economic globalization, will break down the irregular ways which have operated on China economy for a long time. The socialist modernization, at the same time, will enter into a new stage. Beside summarizing the great feats China's socialist modernization has achieved in the 20th century, this article also demonstrates the forthcoming challenges that may be encountered in the 21st with a brand-new angle of view and summarizes several characters of China's economic development in this new era. Also, it proposes goals, responsibilities, necessary condition and policy of our economic development.
